Health Insurance Loading

Faculties provide a reimbursement of at least half the cost of health insurance cover to (all) new appointees who reside in Australia on temporary residency visas and who are not eligible for Medicare coverage or alternate health insurance cover through reciprocal agreements between Australia and their country of residency.

A health insurance loading:

• is not superannuable
• may vary depending on the appointee’s salary
• ceases once the staff member gains a permanent residency visa.
