Senior Appointments Process All senior appointments require the approval of the Vice-Chancellor and President. For Senior Appointments, the Recruitment Team will: - co-ordinate the approval process with the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and President
- provide a consultancy service at the planning stage of the recruitment process i.e. work with you to understand your requirements before assisting with drafting the advertisement, selection criteria, role statement (if applicable) and developing an information package that presents the role, the Area, the University and the City of Adelaide to candidates
- provide advice on methodologies that attract the best candidates
- place advertisements in print media and online job boards
- receive, acknowledge and screen applications
- co-ordinate arrangements for and attend shortlisting and interview meetings and advise candidates of the outcome
- meet shortlisted candidates prior to the commencement of the selection process to welcome them to the University
- conduct reference checking
- assist with contract negotiations, offers of appointment, and relocation and visa requirements.
In the first instance, please contact Vanessa Jones in Recruitment Services to commence the recruitment process. A Role Statement is required for all Senior Appointments with the exception of Professor Level E. The Statement will require approval by the Vice-Chancellor. Human Resources will coordinate this prior to advertisement or search.
