If it is likely that the University will appoint an overseas candidate to the position, Department of Immigration & Citizenship normally requires a position to be advertised at least once in both the metropolitan and national press.

For the University to sponsor a Visa the appointment needs to be full-time and for a minimum period of one year.

If the position is not advertised you are required to provide selection criteria to Human Resources as part of the appointment documentation which will be used to complete the on-line visa nomination which asks that a copy of the selection criteria be attached.
