Entry and Applications
The normal minimum entry requirement for the program is a Bachelor Degree plus English language proficiency (IELTS score of 6.5 in the Academic Module, or equivalent).
Applications from individuals without a Bachelor Degree will also be considered, with relevant specialist experience and expertise taken into account, although students accepted on this basis will initially be admitted only for the award of Professional Certificate of Gastronomy and must achieve Credit grade (65%) or higher in order to continue.
All applications must be addressed in the first instance to Le Cordon Bleu Admissions Office. Applications are forwarded to the University of Adelaide which assesses all applications and makes recommendations to Le Cordon Bleu on the basis of merit within the constraints of the number of places available.
Fees
This is a full fee paying program: fees for 2008 are $AUD5,500* for each course or $AUD27,500** for the full Master of Arts in Gastronomy award.
Australian citizens and holders of permanent visas may be eligible for FEE-HELP, a Government loan scheme that assists postgraduate students to pay tuition fees. The Government pays the amount of the loan directly to the University, and after graduation students repay the loan through the tax system, once their income exceeds the minimum threshold.
