Biography/Background
Andrea is the Chief Executive Officer of the SMSF Professionals’ Association of Australia Limited (SPAA) and is an Accredited SMSF Specialist Advisor® (SSA®). Her passion for the industry and its self-regulation is one of the reasons for SPAA's inception. She is the face and voice of the association, responsible for overseeing membership and its wide range of services.
An accomplished accountant, financial planner and lecturer at the University of South Australia in the School of International Business, Andrea Slattery has established herself as an authority in the field of SMSFs. She has worked in the financial industry over the past 16 years, and prior to this position, her consultancy involved advising firms on the implementation of legislative changes and the development of SMSF advisory businesses as part of their practice.
Andrea is also a member of CPA Australia and its SA Public Practice Committee.
