Biography/Background
Barry Burgan is an Associate Professor and Head of the Business School and teaches at various levels in corporate and business finance. His research interests are in the areas of public finance issues, cost benefit evaluation (particularly in cultural industries) and regional modelling. He was previously Director of the South Australian Centre for Economic Studies and has been at the University of Adelaide for 18 years. Prior to the University, he worked as a management consultant in the public sector and still maintains an active role in consulting both private clients and the state government.
