Biography/Background
John Oliver is the CEO of HomeStart, one of Australia's leading providers of affordable home finance.
Prior to this he was State Manager SA/NT, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank overseeing the merger of the retail branch network in SA, having previously had roles in Adelaide Bank as General Manager Retail Banking and Head of Products. Before joining Adelaide Bank, John was a senior executive in the Commonwealth Bank with experience in roles as diverse as retail distribution, business banking, product development, project management and business process implementation. He also has experience in the credit union sector having been a director of Gateway Credit Union from 1990 to 1996.
John has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Newcastle University) and a Diploma in Banking Management (Macquarie GSM).
