Mr John O'Shaughnessy
Biography/BackgroundJohn was appointed Deputy CEO of the Investment and Financial Services Association (IFSA) in April 2004. John joined the financial services industry in 1970 and has held a variety of executive roles in operations, product development, marketing, distribution and more recently strategy and public policy. In 1992 John was appointed Head of Strategy and Project Officer for the ASX. In 1994 he joined AMP where he was appointed Head of Retail Strategy for Australia and New Zealand. In 1999 he moved to the UK with AMP, where he was appointed Director of Retail Strategy. In 2002 he became Director of Strategy for AMP International where he had strategic responsibility for Virgin Direct, Cogent, AMP Banking as well as the European and Asian activities. John holds a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie University and a Graduate Certificate In Management from the University of Western Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute Of Secretaries and an Affiliate of the Australian Securities Institute.Back to Advisory Board | |||||||
