Biography/Background

After graduating with a degree in monetary economics from the London School of Economics, Ralf completed a Masters in Business Economics and PhD in Financial Economics from Manchester Business School. Since then, he has taught economics and finance at several universities, as well as having published in a number of international finance journals.

His primary interests lie in the areas of insurance, derivatives and real estate markets, having published in these areas as well as consulted for several national and international organisations, particularly within the funds management industry. He is also a director of an investment solutions company, FinHeuristics, and the co-founding editor of the International Journal of Managerial Finance, hosted by Emerald Publishing.
