Stephen GranoProfessor Stephen Grano - Executive Director
An internationally-recognised metallurgical engineer with nearly 30 years of research experience, Professor Grano brings depth and knowledge to the Institute as IMER Executive Director. As the 2009 Science Excellence Award winner for Research Commercialisation, Professor Grano is experienced in forging industry partnerships at nation and international levels. In previous roles he led the AMIRA P260 Project, the largest floatation project in the word which provided a total demonstrated value to industry of $436m. Professor Grano leads IMER in the development of national and international specific research priority areas which answer the global challenges with a dedicated team of world-class researchers, Centre and Program leaders.

Jordan ParhamDr Jordan Parham - IMER Manager
Dr Parham combines extensive experience in both research and industrial environments . He has experience in industry as a project manager and combustion engineer,contributed to the development of a wide range of technologies and their implementation in the minerals process sector. Dr Parham has also undertaken research at the University of Adelaide and the University of Edinburgh into conbustion technologies for mineral processing and power industries. In his current role, Dr Parham is leading the engagement of the Institue with industry and government bodies to create new research opportunities and is the central manager for all Institute operations and initiatives.

Gus NathanProfessor Graham (Gus) Nathan -Director
The Centre for Energy Technology (CET)
Gus Nathan was appointed founding Director of The University of Adelaide's Centre for Energy Technology in 2009. Professor Nathan leads the centre in identifying exciting technological developments to reduce the delivered cost of clean energy. He also leads the centre in engaging with partners spanning industry, international research partners and government agencies to harness the support to develop these new technologies. Martin HandProfessor Martin Hand - Director
South Australian Centre for Geothermal Energy Research (SACGER)
Professor Hand was appointed as a lecturer at the University of Adelaide in 2000 and together with colleagues formed the Continental Evolution Research Group (CERG). This group conducts research within the Centre for Tectonics Resources and Exploration, of which Martin was formerly the director.

Professor Hand was appointed as the inaugural Director of the South Australian Centre for Geothermal Energy Research in 2009. Martin has integrated his research interests with the emerging geothermal energy industry in South Australia. SACGER is funded from the State Government of South Australia, and seeks to assist the geothermal energy sector in bringing projects to demonstration. Find out more about SACGER.

Associate Professor Alan Collins - Director
Tectonics Resources and Exploration (TRaX
)
Doctor Alan Collins commenced at The University of Adelaide as a Senior Lecturer in 2005 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2009. His on-going research directs various aspects of geoscience, including palaeomagnetism, structural geology, geochronology and sedimentology to answer geologically significant questions. He was awarded an Australian Research Council 'Future Fellowship' in 2012. Dr Collins was appointed as the Director of Tectonic Resources and Exploration in 2013.  Find out more about TRaX.
