Dusan Losic reveals new source of nanoparticles to test for COVID-19

Prof Dusan Losic

Professor Dusan Losic, from the School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials, at the University of Adelaide, is teaming with SA Health in the fight against COVID-19.

In an interview for SACOMEs Resourceful South Australia magazine, Professor Losic discusses his work in developing a process to quickly produce magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles from biowaste. These nanoparticles are a vital component of medical diagnostic tests, such as those used to detect COVID-19.
