Message from the Director
“The infrastructure branch works to support the University's learning, teaching and research activities.” Virginia Deegan, Director, Infrastructure.
Having successfully opened the largest capital works project in the University’s history – the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences building in the West End - there is still much on the agenda for the Infrastructure Branch.
There is more to be done in the West End as we complete the new Adelaide Dental Hospital on the top three floors of the AHMS, an exciting opportunity to commence the re-work and upgrade of Union House, and revitalise the Frome Road precinct buildings.
As the higher education sector continues to change, in the coming years more emphasis will be placed on our ability to work our current assets harder and smarter as we continue to support the University learning, teaching and research activities and deliver on our mission of ensuring the University is best placed to continue offering an outstanding student & researcher experience.
Over the next year the Branch will focus on bringing the University of Adelaide Campus Masterplan to life, rejuvenating our teaching spaces to support the University’s distinctive educational proposition and continuing to review and improve our services to the staff and students of the University.
