Maintenance - Work Order Requests
Service Delivery is responsible for the upkeep of all buildings, grounds and service infrastructure within the University's five campuses and selected commercial properties.
This includes building fabric, electrical, essential safety provisions, fume extraction, waste disposal, vertical transport, mechanical services and plumbing and hydraulic services.
A Maintenance Service Centre is located on each Campus. Requests for maintenance services are made through the online work order requests below, or by contacting the relevant service centre.
Types of Maintenance requests
- Work Order
Complete a Work Order Request for general upkeep of all buildings, grounds and service infrastructure including, building fabric, electrical, plumbing, essential safety provisions, fume extraction, waste disposal, mechanical services, vertical transport and hydraulic services.
All Key and Lock requests should be submitted via a Key-Lock Request Form.

- Caretaking & Portering
Small-scale Caretaking, including relocation of office materials, equipment and small items of furniture, can be submitted via a Work Order Request. Services are available on all campuses. Please allow three (3) business days for processing.
Large-scale Caretaking, that requires a specialist removalist, please submit a Work Order Request, including an Account Code, to obtain a quotation for these services.

- Cleaning & Waste Management
All buildings are cleaned and general waste removed daily from Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays and the University Christmas closure period. To minimise disruption to University business these services are normally provided in the early morning between 1.00 am and 8.30 am.

Maintenance of carpets and hard-floor surfaces is undertaken periodically throughout the year. For all additional cleaning requests, please submit a Work Order Request, including an Account Code, as these additional services may incur a fee.

Specialised waste removal services including hazardous, confidential, chemical, biological and medical waste are provided upon request. Waste Transport Certificates must be completed by the producer of waste as an important component of these services.
Recycle bins for office paper waste are located in central offices and collected regularly. Staff are responsible for transferring paper waste from their desk to the recycle bins provided. Cardboard collection and disposal arrangements can be made upon request.
