Role of the IPAS Board


The IPAS Board supports the achievement of all IPAS goals and activities. Working in a strategic advisory capacity, the Board contains representatives from a broad range of sectors including industry, defence, academia, education and government. They provide advice on external opportunities and make recommendations on how IPAS should shape its research activities. The role of board also includes:

  • Support the Director and Institute
  • Support the formulation of the strategic directions
  • Support the development of the Annual Business Plan and Budget
  • Provide oversight on the management of the Institute
  • Review performance of the Institute
  • Maximise external research funding
  • Advise on external partnerships
