Commercial services

IPAS offers a variety of commercial services from the supply of custom glasses and fibres to theoretical modelling and development of novel sensor platforms. We also offer luminescence dating of samples.

We are happy to engage on consultancy, contract research, collaborative research, linkage grants.

IPAS is part of the Optofab node of the ANFF, academic groups and companies can access our specialised equipment and services and via this scheme. For a full listing of the equipment and services we offer please visit our Optofab page.

All commercial contracts with IPAS are handled by Adelaide Research and Innovation (ARI) who manage the University of Adelaide’s commercial research and consultancy partnerships, form new business ventures based on University expertise and develop the University’s innovative ideas and technologies with commercial potential.

Professor Tanya MonroIPAS Institute Director

The Institute for Photonics & Advanced Sensing – IPAS, has been founded on the success of the Centre of Excellence in Photonics, a joint centre of the University of Adelaide and DSTO and the recognition of the importance that new forms of Advanced Sensing will play in the world.

The Institute for Photonics & Advanced Sensing is led by Professor Tanya Monro, with the guidance of the IPAS Board and the support of the Scientific Management Committee, Senior Advisory Group and the Executive committee.
