IPAS Launch

IPAS had its official launch on November 13, 2009 at RI Australia 55 Exchange Place where His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR Governor of South Australia officially launched IPAS.

Super Science Fellowships

Winners of the Super Science Fellowships were announced on April 8, 2010 at CSIRO ICT Centre Sydney. IPAS won all six super science fellowships applied for.

Queens Birthday Event

On Tuesday 15 June Tanya attended a reception hosted by the Governor Kevin Scarce and held in honour of the Queen’s Birthday.  Tanya was invited to attend and give a speech at this event.  
Tanya’s speech was entitled Transdisciplinary Science for Transforming our Future and in it Tanya spoke about new opportunities for driving forward science that straddles the traditional scientific disciplines to create disruptive new technologies for health, defence and the environment.

Our chemistry teams develop novel chemical surface coatings and surface functionalisation strategies to enable the realisation of sensors for specific chemicals and biomolecules. This includes the synthesis of novel compounds for ion trapping and fluorescence based sensing architectures.
