Password UpdateYour University of Adelaide password is a confidential piece of information that should only be known to you. You should not disclose your password to anyone, verbally or written, even if asked for by someone that works for The University of Adelaide. Information about passwords can be found on Accounts and Passwords section of the ITS web site. To ensure your University password remains secure, a policy has been implemented requiring all account holders to change their password annually. Other information on selecting secure passwords and retaining their confidentiality is available on the Do's and Don'ts section of the ITS web site. You may have recently received an email from the University asking you to change your password at the password portal http://password.adelaide.edu.au You can change your password at any time using the password portal. The University will never ask you to disclose your password. If you ever receive an email or phone call asking you to disclose your password, this is a scam. Please follow the instructions on the Information Security website: http://www.adelaide.edu.au/its/security/ http://www.adelaide.edu.au/its/security/incident_reporting/ The new IT Acceptable Use and Security Policy section 4 b states that University IT account holders are responsible for all activity initiated from their account, must only access University IT facilities using their own account and must ensure that their passwords are securely stored. |
