  • The most commonly used forms relating to online services managed by ITS are now available on the Forms web page.

  • You can check your daily Internet usage at: https://www.adelaide.edu.au/cgi-bin/site-bin/snap.pl by selecting "Detailed Transaction History".

  • Do you ever wonder why your computer has "cookies"? Cookies are information stored on your computer when you visit some web sites that are useful if you ever return to the same sites.

  • You can access the files in your home and shared folders from any web browser. Details of how to use the service can be found on the online services pages of the ITS web site.

  • To undo use Ctrl + Z and to redo use Ctrl + Y.

  • Could you ever forget your password? People who have enabled the forgotten password function can reset their passwords online rather than having to visit the Student Centre if they subsequently forget their password.

  • To close the current document in Microsoft Word press the control key (Ctrl) and W simultaneously.

  • Do you wonder what the difference is between your U:, S: and R: drives, and where your files are stored?  An overview of file storage at the University is available on the ITS Online Services web site.

  • To open Windows Explorer (My Computer) press the ‘Windows’ key and E simultaneously.

  • Do you need to store a lot of data? Low cost file storage options are now available.

  • To minimize all your applications and show the desktop press the 'Windows' key and D simultaneously.
