ICT Service Catalogue

Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Services are provided to the University community by the Infrastructure, Property and Technology (IPT) branch according to agreed principles for Foundation ICT services and an associated funding model.

The ICT Service Catalogue contains detailed information about these services, which includes;

  • the description of each service including any specific inclusions and exclusions
  • the intended users of the service
  • the funding model and any associated costs
  • additional information such as constraints to the service and references to further information

The service catalogue overview provides information on the objectives and governance of the catalogue. A full electronic copy of the catalogue is also available for download. In addition to the services listed below, the IPT branch also provides infrastructure and enabling services.

Application Services

Application Services provides development of, and support for applications that support business functions and processes of the University. Also provided are integration services from authoritative University systems to internal or externally hosted systems.

The applications are managed in partnership with business areas who are the data stewards and govern access, policies and processes relating to the applications. For more information on the supported applications and application services refer to the business applications register.

Hosting Services

Hosting services provide managed facilities and environments for the hosting of servers, databases and applications.

Infrastructure Services

Infrastructure services provide the University with fundamental technical infrastructure components such as;

  • Telecommunications backbone and campus-wide network
  • Platforms (server, database) to support applications and other services
  • Infrastructure to support secure, role-based access to services
  • Also includes redundancy, monitoring and security across all services.

Professional Services

Professional services in the form of skills, resources and knowledge are provided to support complex needs that require elements of; needs analysis, advice and solution design.

Included are Project Management services, general consultancy services in the areas of training, standard operating environments, application and teaching space design and conference/seminar support.
