University ICT Architecture Committee

Terms of Reference

The University Information and Communications Technology Architecture Committee (UICTAC) will implement and enforce ICT architecture principles across the University. Its scope will include all aspects of ICT architecture at the University which flow from the University's business requirements.  In particular it will;

  • Promote architecture guidelines/principles within the context of the ICT Strategic Plan.
  • Guide strategic ICT decisions with respect to architecture.
  • Monitor performance of ICT services.
  • Communicate and engage with the University community.

Engagement with the University community

The UICTAC will communicate and engage with the University community in a variety of ways including via established groups and committees, public forums, web sites etc.  Some of the suggestions for engagement include;

  • IT Associate Deans
  • Faculty Finance Managers
  • Student Services
  • Business application owners/users eg MyUni, TRIM
  • Heads of Schools
  • IT Contacts mailing list
  • Student groups
  • Public forums
  • Blogs or online suggestion boards

Any suggestions for other ways that the UICTAC committee could effectively engage with the university would be very welcome.
