University ICT Investment CommitteeTerms of ReferenceThe University Information and Communications Technology Investment Committee (UICTIC) will ensure that ICT investments are prioritised to deliver on the University's strategic objectives, embody the ICT architecture principles, and are based on sound business decision making investment principles. In particular it will; - Compare proposed ICT investments based on their alignment with the University’s strategic plan.
- Consider the full life cycle costs and implications of proposed ICT investments including licencing, infrastructure, skills and resources.
- Liaise with the University Information and Communications Technology Architecture Committee when evaluating proposed investments.
- Monitor performance of investment in ICT.
- Assess potential business risks associated with ICT investments and ensure mitigation strategies are identified.
- Implement and monitor a process for requesting and evaluating ICT investments.
- Ensure all ICT investment decisions are transparent, ethical and free of bias.
- Make recommendations on expenditure to the University ICT Committee.
- Develop a funding model for the provision of foundation and other ICT services.
- Provide input into the University’s budgetary process.
