IT Accounts and Access to Online Services

Three categories of people are given IT accounts at the University of Adelaide;

• Staff
• Students
• Visitors

These accounts, or usernames,  take the form of a1234567 where 1234567 is the person's staff or student number.

Staff, students and visitors each have a specific type of relationship with the University.  The nature of a person's relationship with the University determines which online services they get access to automatically.  When a person's relationship with the University changes, the access they have to IT accounts and online services will change to reflect their new relationship.   Information about loss of services will be emailed where a person ceases a relationship which results in access to services being changed.
