Staff, Students, Postgraduate research students and Visitors

Staff

"Staff "are people who are currently employed by the University of Adelaide including; continuing academics, continuing professional staff, staff on fixed term contracts, casuals, and title holders.   Staff are considered to be current even if they are on leave, leave without pay, or suspended (casual suspension).

Visitors

Visitors are people who are not paid by the University's payroll system and who are engaged in an activity within a business area.  Visitors can be visiting academics, trade or professional contractors, researchers or volunteers who require access to IT services.  Access can be obtained by completing the  Visitor Access to IT Services form.  Visitors are:

  • Internal - visitors to University business areas
  • External - visitors to approved external organisations or
  • ARI - visitors to Adelaide Research and Innovation.

Students

Students are people who are enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs at the University.   Honours students have the same IT service provisions as undergraduate students, but additional Internet quotas apply for Honours students. 

Students are considered to be current if they;

  • are active in, on leave of absence from or recently completed an Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program of study, or
  • have applied to graduate from their program.

Postgraduate research students

Postgraduate students are considered to be current if they;

  • are active in, on leave of absence from or recently completed a Postgraduate research program of study,
  • or have applied to graduate from that program.
