Access to Services

When a person commences at the University access to a number of IT services will be made available.  These include:

• ability to login to University computers
• email
• MyUni
• internet proxy
• staff and/or student only web pages
• Access Adelaide
• Employee Services Online (ESO)
• access to appropriate shared folders

In addition, services provided will differ according to the specific role that a person has at the University. 

The roles are:

• Staff
• Academic staff
• Students
• Postgraduate research students
• Visitors - Internal
• Visitors - External
• Visitors - ARI

 Although access is granted to many online services automatically, access to other more specialised services may require additional authorisation.  For details of all online services and the classes of people who may access them see Online Services.

For staff who commenced with the University before April 2007, access to some online services will continue to be via their old-style usernames (eg fsmith01).
