Password Help Centre For security reasons, most systems at the University require a password in order to be accessed. Follow the flow chart below for information on how to reset or change your password depending on your needs, then go to the step number below the chart for instructions. 
Allows you to change your password online. You will be able to reset your password here if you have set challenge response questions and cannot remember your original password. For more information on challenge response questions, click here. 2. North TerraceStudents, Staff and Visitors can visit the Student Centre on level 4 of the Wills Building. To perform the reset you will need your Student or Staff ID card, or some other form of photo ID. 3. WaiteGo to the Student Admin office in the McLeod Building, First Floor, Room LG to have your password reset. Unable to present in personStudents, staff and Visitors will need to; - Complete the Request a Password Reset Form and fax it to the Student Centre +61 8 8313 4401.
- Your password will then be printed and faxed or mailed to you.
- Upon receipt of the printed password, you will need to immediately change it to a password known only to you using the Change your Password website.

Systems Affected by Changing your PasswordWhen you change your password, it will affect the following systems. The two systems that are commonly used and require a password are Outlook and Oracle Calendar. Once you have reset your password, you will need to follow the process of changing your password in these systems. Click on the following links for information; Calendar or Outlook. Password RulesYour new password must: - Be between 7 and 50 characters
- Contain at least 1 number
- Contain at least 1 alphanumeric character (e.g. @ ? > # " , . ;)
- Not be the same as a previous password
Password Expiry- Your University of Adelaide password must be changed at least once every 360 days. When it is time to change your password you will receive a system generated email reminding you. If you do not change your password it will expire and your account will be disabled.
- Password resets take effect immediately.
- You will be prompted via email to change your password before it expires.
