Change your Password website

Forgotten your password?

If you have forgotten your password you are now able to reset it online rather than having to visit the University Contact Centre. To enable the forgotten password function for your username, you must first set up and answer a series of ID verification questions or challenge response questions.

If your password has EXPIRED this feature will not work.

Enabling the forgotton password function

  1. Log into the following website http://password.adelaide.edu.au/
  2. Select "Password Challenge Response" from the Password Management menu on the left hand side of the screen.
  3. You will be prompted to answer six questions which will be used to verify your identification should you forget your password. The six questions are made up of:
    1. Two standard questions that all users will be required to answer, and
    2. Four questions that you create and answer.
  4. You must complete all six questions. The combination of standard and unique questions strengthens the security of the process. You are encouraged to provide one word answers for each question.
  5. Once you have answered all six questions correctly and have clicked on the "Submit" button you will receive a message stating that "Challenge responses were saved successfully" in red text indicating that your information has been successfully saved for use in the event that you forget your password.
  6. You can now logout.
