Common Teaching Area Support

Technology AV provides support for the Common Teaching Areas (CTAs) referred to in cta. AV support includes checking of Data and over head projectors, testing of radio microphones and replacement of batteries each morning before lectures commence.

The following lecture theatres have been upgraded to the latest standard and have:

Audio & Video Streaming functionality from the built in PC:
        North Tce  -  Napier 102,  LG29, LG28, G03, G04, Benham, Mawson,  Hone, Stirling,  Horace Lamb, Flentje, Schulz 307a and 308b, Hughes, MacBeth, Engineering Annex 308, Engineering North 218, Kerr Grant, Chapman, Florey, Plaza 2060, Scott theatre, Masonic Hall,

        Waite Campus  -  McLeod, Charles Hawker 205, Charles Hawker Conference Centre

         Roseworthy  -  Richardson, Eastick

Audio Streaming only from the built in PC
Napier LG23, LG24, 208, 209, 210, Medical School South S127, Engineering North N132, Bragg, Polygon Theatre.

  • 9 tutorial rooms in the Lower Napier have full AV functionality

Procedure

For Technology AV support in CTAs dial **1 from the lectern telephone or 33000 from any University telephone.

Timelines

Most CTA operational problems can be resolved within a 2-3 minute phone call.  If the problem is more complex an Technology AV technician will attend on site within a few minutes of receiving a call. 

Related services

Technology AV also provides equipment for events and conferences on campus which are not associated with Common Teaching.  These include data projectors, PAs, microphones, screens, lecterns etc. There is a charge for this service.  Details are here.
