Common Teaching Area Support

ITS AV provides support for the Common Teaching Areas (CTAs) referred to in cta. AV support includes checking of Data and over head projectors, testing of radio microphones and replacement of batteries each morning before lectures commence.

The following lecture theatres have been upgraded to the latest standard and have:

  • Audio & Video Streaming functionality from the built in PC:
    Napier 102, Benham, Mawson,  Hone, Stirling, Union Hall, Horace Lamb, Flentje, Schulz 307a and 308b. Union Hall, Hughes, MacBeth, Engineering Annex 308, Kerr Grant, Chapman, Florey

        Waite Campus: McLeod, Charles Hawker 205

        Roseworthy: Richardson, Stefanson

  •  Audio Streaming only  from the built in PC
    Napier LG23, LG24, LG28, LG29, G03, G04, 208, 209, 210,  Medical School South S127, Engineering North N132.
  • 9 tutorial rooms in the Lower Napier have full AV functionality (no Streaming capability)

  • Video Conferencing
    Napier 102, Hone, Union Hall

Procedure

For ITS AV support in CTAs dial **1 from the lectern telephone or 33933 from any University telephone.

Timelines

Most CTA operational problems can be resolved within a 2-3 minute phone call.  If the problem is more complex an ITS AV technician will attend on site within 10 minutes of receiving a call.  Please note ITS AV is now located at L9, 9 Gawler Place.

Related services

ITS AV also provides equipment for events and conferences on campus which are not associated with Common Teaching.  These include data projectors, PAs, microphones, screens etc. Details are here.
