Logging into Remote FilesVia the Internet 1. Open Internet Explorer and select 'Tools' then click on 'Internet Options' 2. Select the 'Security' tab, choose 'Internet' and ensure that 'Enable Protected Mode' is unselected 3. Go to https://remotefiles.adelaide.edu.au. You will see the following screen 4. Click 'Connect' and then enter your University log on details. This will allow you to access your files.
5. Once you have logged in press 'Start' and then select 'My Computer'. This will allow to access your network and local drives.
Via Remote Desktop 1. Open Remote Desktop from Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Remote Desktop Connection. If it is installed you are able to download it from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/tools/rdclientdl.mspx 2. In Computer type 129.127.44.17 or remotefiles.adelaide.edu.au and then press 'Options'
3. Go to the 'Local Resources' tab and then select 'More...'
4. Ensure that 'Drives' box is ticked and then press 'Ok' and then 'Connect'
5. Log on using your University Credentials (E.g. Username: a1234567) and then you will be able to access your files remotely.
6. Once you have logged in press 'Start' and then select 'My Computer'. This will allow to access your network and local drives.
