Moving Mail from the Server to Local Mail

Email quota can be used quickly, depending on the size of the emails that you are being sent and required to keep. We suggest that you move emails to your local mail, which is stored on the U: drive, to be stored if you are required to keep them for an extended period of time.

1. Open Microsoft Outlook and select your mail.adelaide.edu.au account

 

2. Select the emails that you would like to move to the local mail (stored on the U: drive) and right click and a menu will appear. Select move to folder

Note: you are able to select multiple emails by holding the control button and clicking on the emails.

3. Select the folder that you would like to have the emails put into and then press ok

Note: You are able to create a new folder by selecting the "New..." button
