Services Provided Elsewhere

There are several services provided by other areas of the University, or external providers, which relate to computers. A list of most commonly requested services and who to contact is presented in the table below.

*Moving computers*	ITS provides assistance with preparing computers for relocation The porters can be contacted for assistance with the actual move.
*Locking/unlocking student labs*	Locking and unlocking of student labs is the responsibility of the area in which they are located.
*Air conditioning in student labs*	Contact Property Services for any problems with air conditiong and/or heating in student labs
*Application support*	The Helpdesk does not provide assistance with using applications such as Word or Excel. Courses are available through IT Training.
*Support for personally owned home computers*	Contact Datacom Systems SA*1 for special University pricing for support.
*Purchase mobile phones*	Communications Services have some information about mobile phones but they should be purchased by the area.
