Guidelines for Posting on MyUni Forums

These guidelines enable the University to maintain a friendly and welcoming environment for all users of the MyUni Forums, while ensuring they remain open enough for free discussion;

All discussions are to be carried out in a mature and sensible fashion.
All postings are to be in English, unless otherwise stated by the System Administrators.
No offensive language is to be used at any time. This includes swearing, making sexist or racist comments, or using language that is in any way discriminatory.
Language that alienates other users should not be used.
No-one may abuse, harass or threaten any other person or group of people.
No illegal activity is to be promoted, condoned or encouraged.
No posting of material that infringes copyright held by another person or the University.
Links to material that breaches any of the guidelines must not be posted.
No advertising is to take place in forums other than those specified for advertising.
Only advertising of personal goods and services is to take place in these specified forums.
No illegal goods or services are to be advertised. This includes goods and services which have a law against their sale (e.g. illegal copies of CDs, DVDs).
Pyramid schemes, "make money while you surf" schemes and similar schemes are specifically prohibited.
No advertising of job vacancies is to take place.
