Apple iPhoneApple iPhones are now available through ITS. Cost CostHandset Apple iPhone 16GB $999.00 $849.00 for the handset, plus $150.00 to unlock the handset so it is not locked into a fixed term contract. 3G Data Plan The Apple iPhone requires a data plan. The recommended and default data plan for the iPhone is Super $36.32 for 5000Mb. For data plan upgrade's view Current data plans. Your data usage is your responsibility. You can monitor your data usage using Fleetview. Delivery times will depend on availability of the Apple iPhone. SupportiPhones purchased through the Univeristy of Adelaide and used with our mobile service are supported. Standard warranty service applies. Support of iPhone features is limited to those that are compatible and preconfigured on the iPhone. CompatibilityThe iPhone has been tested with University of Adelaide systems and services. iPhone Features Email - Preconfigured to your University staff email account. Calendar-SyncML has a new application that allows Oracale calendar synchronisation. The application does not work with the iPhone's built in calendar, instead it works with its own calendar. iPhone Applications The following built-in applications do not work with the University wireless network.
Compatible with 3G network. NOT compatible with the UOFA wireless network. This issue does not solely impact the University of Adelaide and is a known issue at other institutions that use a secure proxy. After investigation with other institutions we are unable to provide a solution to this problem. It is expected that Apple will address this issue in future releases of the iPhone.
