Standard Voicemail Requests
- New voicemail box: New voicemail box is for staff with a new extension or staff that have moved to a new desk with a new phone and wish to have voicemail set up on that phone.
- Reset voicemail security code: If you have forgotten your voicemail box security code it it can be reset for you.
- Cancel voicemail box: Cancel a voicemail box if it is no longer required at a specific phone or on behalf of someone who has left.
Please fill in either an Internal or External department voicemail request form and the helpdesk will organise the activation of your new mailbox within 3 working days.

Checking Messages Internally from a phone that does not have Voicemail

Mailbox voice has sped up
Your Voicemail box has speed up, the messages are hard to understand as they are speaking too fast.
You will need to have a voicemail message on the system.
- Dial in to voicemail on extn 36111.
- Put in your security code.
- Press 1 to listen to message then press 1 again to activate speed options.
When you hear the system say “To continue listening press 1” you press 7 to reduce continue pressing 7 until you are happy with the speed of the system message
- You can press 4 to increase speed if you have slowed the message down and it sounds to slow.
- When you are comfortable with the speed press 1 to return to your message.
Time and date stamp
This will tell you the name of the sender their number and the Date and Time.
- Dial in to voicemail on extn 36111.
- Put in your security code.
- Press 1 to listen to message at the end of the message press 0 and then 0 again.
This will tell you the name of the sender their number and the Date and Time.
Change your voicemail message
- Dial in to voicemail on extn 36111.
- Put in your security code.
- Then press 3 then 1 then 3 then 2 then follow the prompts.
Change your name in voicemail
- Dial in to voicemail on extn 36111.
- Put in your security code.
- Then press 3 then 1 then 5 then follow the prompts.
Change your Annual leave message in voicemail.
- Dial in to voicemail on extn 36111.
- Put in your security code.
- Then press 3 then 1 then 3 then 3 then follow the prompts to record your message.
Remove your voicemail leave message
This is activated immediately.
- Dial in to voicemail on extn 36111.
- Put in your security code.
- Then press 3 then 1 then 3 then 3 then follow the prompts to record your message.
Change Your Security Code
- Dial in to voicemail on extn 36111.
- Put in your security code.
- Then press 3 then 1 then 4 then follow the prompts.
Skip to second message
- Dial in to voicemail on extn 36111.
- Put in your security code.
- Press 7: to skip to second message.
Helpful Hints
What is the default voicemail pin code ?
- When you request new voicemail box or request for your security pin it will always be 0000.
How long are voicemail messages stored for?
- Voicemail messages are kept for 21 Days and then automatically erased.
When listening to a voice message:
- Press 3: to back up 5 sec. ( ie: need to check a phone number)
- Press 9: to advance 5 sec
- Press 8: to reply to the message and leave an answer on their voicemail.
- Press 2: to forward the message that was on your voicemail to another mail box.
Deleted messages can only be retrieved while still in voicemail.
- Press 4 : to retrieve a deleted message (this will not work if you have exited voicemail and then dialled back in)
