MyUni Course CopyCourse materials are automatically copied (migrated) from the current version of a course to the next year's version of the course. For example, materials from 2510_ECON_1000 will automatically be transferred to 2610_ECON_1000. A course copy can be requested if this content migration is unsuccessful or in situations where the content from one course is required in another course from the catalogue. This includes courses from any year in any term. When a course copy takes place, the content in the destination course is overwritten with the source course content. ProcedureThe following important points should be considered before requesting a course copy:
The items copied into the destination course will be set to "available" so they will be visible to the students enrolled in that course, but the destination course is set to "unavailable"so students are not able to access it. This is so the instructors can check the content copied over, edit content and delete/edit anything not appropriate for the students (e.g. tutorial solutions), before allowing them access to the content. When submitting a course copy request, please specify:
For example the source and destination course material locations or the nature of the material to be copied (eg test, pools & surveys). CostsCourse copies of a standard nature are free. TimelinesOnce all necessary information has been supplied, course copies are typically completed within one to two working days. PoliciesThe standard University and IT Acceptable Use Policies apply: Compliance, Copyright and University Policy Related servicesCourse instructors themselves are able to copy material within the Control Panel of the MyUni courses they are teaching. This can be done using the copy button alongside individual items, or by using the Export Course and Import Package functions. Various reference manuals are available and have detailed information on these tools. The MyUni Manual for Instructors is one such point of reference. This service is the responsibility of the Desktop Management Services team. |
