MyUni Course Creation

New courses scheduled for students to enrol in are determined and created in PeopleSoft at the Faculty level. This information is then fed over to MyUni. Throughout each year, the Online Education Helpdesk receive a small volume of organisational course creation requests. Organisational courses (org courses) are courses that only exist in MyUni. They are not created from the Adelaide University course catalogue in PeopleSoft.

Procedure

Requests for organisational course creation can be made to the Technology Service Desk via phone or email.

The procedure for processing org course creation requests begins by determining whether creating an org course is appropriate for the situation. If it is, information on how the course will be used is necessary to determine how best to set up the course and its enrolments, and how to manage this data.? These details are recorded as an incident in our call management system and escalated to the Online Applications team.

There are typically no costs associated with this service.TimelinesOnce a request is received in full, the turn-around time for an organisational course creation is typically two working days.

Related services

Once an organisational course has been created, instructors and students are manually enrolled in the course. Expected completion of manual enrolments in organisational courses is within two working days.
