AdLib Relay

Instructions on Software Use

The PDF converter software allows you to submit a file via the web, which is then converted into PDF format and e-mailed back to you.  A brief overview of how to use the web interface to setup and submit a document for conversion can be found here.

Conditions of Use at the University of Adelaide

Period of AgreementAdlib Relay has been purchased outright. A maintenance contract will be negotiated on a yearly basis.
Authorised UsersAdlib Relay is available to all University of Adelaide Staff and Students with access to the University's Intranet. Adlib Relay is not available via an external ISP or the Internet.
Staff At Home RightsAll University of Adelaide Staff and Students are authorised to use Adlib Relay from home. However, users can only access Adlib Relay via the University's dial in modems.

The pdf convertor software can be used with most web browsers.

Using Microsoft Word to Create a pdf file

Another way to convert a Windows Office document to pdf is to use the Save As function.

Click on the Windows button at the top left corner, and choose Save As. When the dialog box appears, change the format to PDF. This will save your document in pdf format in the location you choose.
