Learning and Teaching ProgramThe Learning & Teaching Program is a series of 4 interdependent technology projects that will enable improved Information Technology capabilities in the areas of computing facilities, online lecture media and lecture facilities and aims to enhance the overall student experience.
The program will be delivered through the Technology Services Branch, and is one part of the $11.1 million grant provided to the University of Adelaide by the Federal Government in 2009, under Teaching and Learning Capital Fund for Higher Education (TLC).
Digital Curriculum Delivery ProjectThe Digital Curriculum Delivery Project aims to upgrade the MyMedia system which is used by lecturers to capture and make available online lecture content to students. The project will both further develop the application to enhance its functionality, as well as upgrade the entire infrastructure which supports the system.
Benefits · Allow more lecture media to be captured and processed, in a quicker timeframe, for delivery to students · Provide additional redundancy and capacity for future growth of the system · Provide functionality improvements and additional formats to lecturers

Its objective is to trial the technology to gain an understanding of its benefits and limitations and whether it can be utilised on a wider scale in the future.
Benefits · Provide targeted students access to 3 School Student Suites from a number of locations including other alternate Student Suites and remote locations · Clear understanding of virtualisation successes and failures, remedial actions and roadmap for future expansion of virtualisation Student Suite Upgrades ProjectThe Student Suite Upgrade Project aims to replace computing facilities in a number of student suites across the University. Approximately 36 student suites in 11 Schools will be involved in the upgrades.
The scope of the upgrades will be focussed on replacing out of warranty personal computers and printers, and it is anticipated that approximately 500 Windows personal computers, 50 Macintosh personal computers and 6 standard printers will be targeted.
Benefits · Provide latest model technologies for student use · Reduce costs associated with supporting out of date equipment
