Use Windows Vista & Office 2007 Help & Support

• Did you know that you can press F1 on your keyboard at any time to access the Help for the application you are using?
• You can also access Help from within any Microsoft Office application by clicking on the question mark in the top right-hand corner of the window:
  

Create an email template in Outlook 2007

• You can find the Microsoft tutorial for creating and using Templates in Outlook 2007 here.
• In summary however, to create a template in Outlook 2007:
  • Create the message
  • Save As... an "Outlook Template" (*.oft) in your Template folder (this should be the default folder)
  • To use a template in Office 2007:
    • Click on File > New > Choose Form
    • Select from the drop down list, "Look In:" "User Templates in File System" (this takes you to the Template folder where you saved the template)
      
      
      
      
    • Then select the template file and click "Open".

Common Issues & Errors

Security Certificate Error - Internet Explorer 7

While using Internet Explorer 7, you may be presented with a "Certificate Error: Navigation Blocked" if there are problems with the security certificate for the site you requested.

You can find more information about security errors at the Microsoft Web site.

Please be assured that Internet Explorer 7's heightened security is simply flagging the site because it doesn't match its security conditions. The Vista SOE has been developed with the University's highest possible security in mind.

If you have trusted a site in the past or in other Web browsers, you should be able to determine that it can still be trusted. Please be aware of threats including Phishing (identity theft attacks) and spoofed Web sites if you are prompted to enter personal information.

If you wish to view the site, you can choose to click on the "Continue to this website" link (even though it says "not recommended" alongside it).
