IT Accounts and Access to Online Services

Three categories of people are given IT accounts at the University of Adelaide;

• Staff
• Students
• Visitors (Persons of Interest)

These accounts, or usernames,  take the form of a1234567 where 1234567 is the person's staff or student number.

Staff, students and visitors each have a specific type of relationship with the University.  The nature of a person's relationship with the University determines which online services they get access to automatically.  When a person's relationship with the University changes, the access they have to IT accounts and online services will change to reflect their new relationship.
