Information Security at the University of Adelaide 

Information Technology Services understands the importance of information security to all members of the University community and is committed to implementing innovative solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of important information at all times.

It's vitally important to report an information security incident as soon as possible to ITS so that we can ensure that the damage from the incident can be minimised as soon as possible.

ITS has implemented a new email protection system to protect University staff, students and affiliates from threats to information security that may be present in e-mail, including computer viruses, nuisance email and malicous fraudulent email.

A new software vulnerability management system is in the process of being implemented to check for security vulnerabilities on many of the University's systems.

ITS has also developed systems to ensure that users of wireless networking can use information securely.
