Areas Not Managed by ITS

Windows computers not managed by ITS, ie those managed by a local computing officer (LCO) can be patched using the Windows Server Update Service (WSUS).

Following the updates being released by Microsoft, WSUS will automatically deploy:

1. Microsoft Office security updates

2. Microsoft Office service packs

3. Windows operating system security updates

4. Windows operating system service packs

5. Internet explorer new version releases

Testing critical applications against the above prior to connecting to this service is highly recommended.
