Spam Submission
To aid in protecting students, staff and affiliates from the threats present within electronic mail (e-mail), The University of Adelaide has implemented an e-mail filtering system. The purpose of this system is to provide University users with comprehensive protection against fraudulent (Phishing) and nuisance (Spam) e-mails, as well as e-mail based computer viruses.
Whilst The University of Adelaide is able to stop the majority of malicious e-mails entering the University network, occasionally users may receive unsolicited e-mail in their inbox. To ensure these e-mails are prohibited from entering the University, users are encouraged to forward them, as an attachment, to bad@mailguard.adelaide.edu.au.
Submissions to bad@mailguard.adelaide.edu.au will be manually analysed and filtered where deemed appropriate.
In order to forward the unsolicited e-mail as an attachment, please see the following guides:
Microsoft Outlook 2007 Microsoft Outlook 2003 Apple Mail Mozilla Thunderbird Google Mail
If you have sent your submission to bad@mailguard.adelaide.edu.au, but are still receiving unwanted Spam, Phishing or any other malicious form of mail, please contact the Helpdesk. |
