Enrolments and Amendments

Target Audience

This unit is aimed at staff who are required to manually enrol students in their Faculty/School's courses and to amend students' enrolments.

Overview

This course enables staff to carry out basic enrolment activities, including enrolling a student into classes and dealing with the typical errors including pre-requisites, full classes, timetable clashes and negative service indicators. The Amendments section covers dropping a student from a class and locating an existing enrolment request.

Prerequisite and Co-requisite Courses

Staff are required to have attended Express Reports before attending Enrolments and Amendments.

Course Duration

3.5 hours.

Competencies

At the completion of the course, attendees will be able to:

1. Locate an existing student using the “Search/Match” facility.
2. Enter DEST statistical data requirements captured from the enrolment form.
3. Deal with disability support data
4. Confirm a student’s program and plan.
5. Enter emergency contacts.
6. Confirm term activation and loan election.
7. Enter a tax file number
8. Enter the graduation term.
9. Enrol a student in classes.
10. Enrol a student in classes with auto-enrol.
11. Enrol a student and deal with class limit overrides.
12. Enrol a student and deal with pre-requisite overrides.
13. Attempt to enrol a student who has a negative service indicator.
14. Enrol a student in classes for several courses over two semesters.
15. Amend a student enrolment by dropping a class .
16. Locate an enrolment request for follow up.
