Overseas Health Cover

Target Audience

This course is aimed at staff who are required to process Overseas Health Cover applications for international students. Overseas Health Cover is currently administered by Student Finance, with subsequent payments receipted at the Student Centre.

Overview

This course covers the processes involved in setting up overseas health cover for international students and their families. It includes adding and amending data, posting charges to students’ accounts and printing appropriate reports. Participants will develop a clear understanding of the effect of student payments on the Cashiering module of the Student Administration System.

Prerequisite and Co-requisite Courses

Staff are required to have attended Express Reports before attending Overseas Health Cover.

2 hours.

Competencies

At the completion of the course, attendees will be able to:

1. Set up overseas health cover for a student.
2. Post a charge for overseas health cover to a student’s account.
3. Amend overseas health cover.
4. Print an overseas health cover schedule report.
5. Understand the effect of student payments on the Cashiering module of the Student Administration System.
