Payment Plans and Third Party ContractsTarget AudienceThis course is aimed at staff who are required to process payment plans for payment by instalments, and third party contracts for payment by an organisation on behalf of students. Staff will usually work within Student Finance, DSSS Finance Office or the Roseworthy Campus Faculty Office of the Faculty of Sciences. OverviewPayment plans are used to divide one large payment into several smaller payments with different due dates. They allow students to pay for tuition and other services over a longer period of time without the charges becoming overdue. Third party contracts are used to transfer charges from a student to an organisation that has contracted to pay some or all charges for that student. Collection agreements can be used to manage overdue accounts. They allow for part payments to be made and remove the overdue account service indicator from a students account for as long as the student continues to make the payments required by the agreement.
