Calculate Tuition and Fees

Target Audience

This course is aimed at staff who are required to calculate tuition and fees for students, usually within Student Finance. Admissions Office staff process application fees and fees in advance.

Overview

This course covers the processes involved in calculating tuition and fees, including application fees and fees in advance. Reports and inquiries are discussed, along with setting up fees, waivers and tuition groups (for appropriate staff).

Prerequisite and Co-requisite Courses

Staff are required to have attended Express Reports before attending Calculate Tuition and Fees.

Course Duration

1.5 hours. If configuration training is required (Systems Administrators and some Student Finance staff), allow 3 hours.

Competencies

At the completion of the course, an attendee will be able to:

1. Calculate tuition and fees for individual students.
2. Inquire on tuition for a student.
3. Print tuition reports.
4. Understand the HECS reconciliation process.
5. Record application fees and fees in advance.
6. Configure the system as required.
