What browsers are supported?

As long as you are using a browser which supports cookies, and cookies are enabled, your browser should work with Web Mail. There are no documented exceptions to this. Some functions of Web Mail may behave slightly differently depending on the browser however.

The following browsers have been successfully tested by ITS:

  • Netscape 4.x and newer
  • Internet Explorer 5.x and newer
  • Firefox 1.x
  • Mozilla 1.x

From the access logs, people have successfully used:

  • Netscape 3.04, 4.x, 6.x, 7.x and 8.x on Windows, Unix and Macintosh
  • Internet Explorer 4.x, 5.x and 6.0 on Windows and Macintosh
  • Firefox 1.x on Windows, Unix and Macintosh
  • Mozilla 0.9x and 1.x on Windows, Unix and Macintosh

How do I refresh my Inbox listing?

Click on the two green arrows next to the INBOX heading. You can also set an automatic refresh time or automatic mail notification alerts by changing settings in Options -> New Mail.

How do I see more than 20 messages on a page?

From the mailbox view, click on Options -> Display Options -> Messages per page and change it as required.
