Your Username and Password

You will need to use your account and password to access your email and other important University IT services such as Access Adelaide and MyUni. Information about accounts and passwords can be found on the access and accounts web pages.

Your Email Address

When you first log in to the system you will receive a greeting message. This message will include details about your email address.  In general email addresses have the following format;

For students: firstname.lastname@student.adelaide.edu.au

For staff,visitors and Postgraduate research students: firstname.lastname@adelaide.edu.au

For example, student Nona Smithsonian, will have the following email address: nona.smithsonian@student.adelaide.edu.au

Note:

• The staff style email address is the primary email address for people who are both staff and students.
• In some cases your email address may vary slightly from this format, for example where you have the same given name and family name as someone else. In this case you will be informed of your email address. Typically, the initial of your middle name will be added to your email address, for example nona.j.smithsonian@adelaide.edu.au
• Do not inform anyone of your email address until you have logged in and read your greeting message, so you can be sure of the details.
