eduroam Wireless Guide

Windows XP

1.Right click on the icon  in the botton right hand corner and select "View Available Wireless Networks"

2. Select "Change the order of referred networks"

3. Press the "Add" button in the Wireless Network Connection Properties window

4. Enter the information as shown and then select the "Authentication" tab

5. Change the EAP type to "Protocol EAP (PEAP)" and then select the "Properties" button

6. Enter the settings as shown

7.  Press the "Configure..." button under the "Select Authentication Method:" and untick "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)"

8. Press "Ok" until the list of networks is back on your screen, select UofA and press "connect". You may need to press the balloon in the bottom right hand side  of your screen. **

9. Enter your University username followed by @adelaide.edu.au (eg. a1234567@adelaide.edu.au) and password

10. You will now be connected! If you are still having difficulties connecting:

** The certificate can be trusted provided the error message detail contains the text "The server "radius.adelaide.edu.au" presented a valde certificate issued by "Go Daddy Class 2 Certification Authority" or "ValiCert, Inc", but "Go Daddy Class 2 Certificate Authority" is not configured as a valid trust anchor for this profile."
